A recognized leader in the device industry holding leadership roles related to Business Development, Product Management, Marketing and Strategy. Prior to joining Portal Instruments in November 2024, Steven held executive positions at Stevanato Group, Bespak and SHL Medical.
Steven is a well-known executive with over 20 years experience providing drug delivery solutions to the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. Actively leading teams internationally, contract negotiation, strategy to in-license devices, intellectual property and partnerships, competitive positioning, public relations, media engagement and supporting investor relations. Well-known leader, speaker and author within industry - presenting at exhibitions such as PDA, Pharmapack, DCAT, CPHI, PODD, etc.
He has broad expertise in the area of self-injection devices including autoinjectors, pen injectors, wearables, inhalers and other combination products. Proven track-record taking devices from design, development, manufacture, final assembly to clinical and then commercial launch in Europe, North America and APAC. Solid background working with device consulting experts, designing and producing training devices, promotion & selling of testing and assembly equipment. Comprehensive understanding of Contract Manufacturing of device as well as Proprietary Development & Licensing of device.
Steven did his graduate studies at the National Chengchi University (Taiwan), International Master of Business Administration - IMBA, Emphasis on Marketing & International Business · (2003 - 2006) and his undergraduate studies at Western University (Canada) · (1987 - 1991)
He is a native-speaker of English and a professional working level speaker of Mandarin Chinese.
